Start with the funding and recipient arrangements
Tell our team where the funds are held, the intended amount, the purpose and who will receive the NZD. Confirm whether the transaction can be arranged before relying on a particular funding method.
- The location and currency of the funding account.
- The recipient, receiving bank and destination.
- Your relationship to the recipient and the purpose of the funds.
- Any deadline, contract or supporting information relevant to the payment.
Understand the rate and total cost
A website calculator gives an estimate and does not lock a transaction rate. Before proceeding, confirm the exchange direction, execution rate, quote validity, total payable and expected receipt. Ask which Skyline, bank or intermediary charges are included and which may be separate.
Prepare the requested documents
Depending on your application and transaction, you may be asked for identification, address proof, funding and recipient account details, and evidence of the source or purpose of funds. Follow the specific list and confirmed submission channel rather than sending documents to an unverified contact.
Allow for checks and processing conditions
Confirm when the estimated processing time starts. Receipt of funds, document checks, bank processing, cut-off times and public holidays can affect progress. Tell the team about time-sensitive payments early; a preferred date is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Pay only after the instructions are confirmed
Check the official payee, account and payment reference before sending funds. Ask about any same-name account or third-party funding restrictions that apply. Keep the transaction confirmation and payment record, and contact the team if details change unexpectedly.
